Lehigh’s ongoing implementation of its Path to Prominence plan can be seen in several projects, many of which are already taking shape on campus. Work is underway for Phase I of the New Residential Houses. This project, originally known as the Bridge West project by its designer Sasaki of Watertown, Mass., will work in tandem with a new renovated University Center to bring new vitality to the core of campus. Construction also continues on the SouthSide Commons residential facility at Brodhead and Packer avenues.

In February, the Bethlehem Planning Commission approved Lehigh’s plans for a new Health, Science and Technology Building, which will house the new College of Health. The building will rise on the site of a parking lot behind the Whitaker Lab.

Also, local developers are transforming the former Icehouse at Webster and Adams streets, formerly used by Lehigh as a storage building, into Brinker Lofts apartments.
