The energy throughout the weekend was inspiring, reminding us that while alumni may travel different paths, the lifelong connections formed at Lehigh remain, and they always have a home on South Mountain. Thank you to all who returned to campus to make Reunion Weekend memorable.
This summer also brought national recognition of the university’s long-term stewardship and strategic vision. Forbes recently awarded Lehigh its highest financial grade, recognizing the university’s strong financial foundation and long-term thoughtful financial management. This distinction reflects disciplined resource allocation in the areas that matter most for student learning, research advancement and our community, and reflects our commitment to ensuring Lehigh remains strong, innovative and positioned for long-term success in an increasingly complex higher education landscape.
While the summer months provide an opportunity for reflection, they also remind us that Lehigh’s momentum continues year-round. Looking ahead, there is tremendous excitement surrounding the fall semester. Lehigh received a record-setting applicant pool for the Class of 2030, and we eagerly welcomed first year students whose talents will enrich our community. I anticipate that as the seasons change and the semester is underway, campus will be brimming with curiosity, creativity and discovery.
