Journalist, author and motivational speaker Joan Lunden recently hosted the College of Health's inaugural lecture of the virtual Population Health Colloquium Series, “The Media’s Role in Guiding Populations During Health Crises.”
PBS39's Brittany Sweeney featured the colloquium series in a news segment.
“I would venture to say we all have a new appreciation for the need to study the health of populations around the globe and to track potential health crises like the pandemic that we are now living through,” Lunden said.
Eduardo J. Gómez, inaugural director of undergraduate studies for College of Health, moderated.
“The purpose of the colloquium series is really to bring together local, national, international experts to discuss various issues of population health,” he said.
