Thursday morning, campus came alive again as new Mountain Hawks and their families arrived with cars packed full of ambitions, aspirations, school supplies and anything one might need for their dorm room.

While an unseasonably cool drizzle greeted those arriving in the morning, those light showers gave way to sunshine and warmer temperatures by the time most settled into their dorms and finished lunch on the lawn.

Students began their day by checking in at Iacocca Hall on the Mountaintop Campus, securing their orientation materials and directions to their residence hall. Once cars were unpacked with assistance from Lehigh's MOOV (Made of Our Volunteers) representatives, and before students bid their family members adieu, a picnic-style community lunch was held on the Clayton University Center Lawn and Memorial Walkway.

Orientation kick-off, which was also held on the Clayton University Center Lawn, began just as the sun arrived to officially begin festivities for Lehigh's newest students.
