It began in May of 2016 when the portrait of Lehigh University founder, Asa Packer, was taken down from the Asa Packer Dining Room in the University Center. It hung above patrons for over 40 years. The painting was sent to Hartmann Fine Art Conservation in Carlisle, PA., where it underwent a deep cleaning and restoration. In October 2017, the painting returned home to Lehigh.
