"I'm excited to join the Lehigh community and help shape the future of such a remarkable campus,” Rose said. “Great universities are built on more than buildings. They are built on environments that inspire learning, discovery, and collaboration. I look forward to listening, building strong relationships across campus, and working with our talented Facilities team to maintain and create spaces that support Lehigh's academic mission for generations to come.”
During his time at Penn, Rose has led many notable projects, including Tangen Hall, Penn's hub for entrepreneurship and innovation; the Wharton Academic Research Building; and the Vagelos Laboratory for Energy Science and Technology, a state-of-the-art interdisciplinary research facility. Earlier in his career, he spearheaded the development of a campus master plan at Saint Joseph's University, helping establish a long-term vision for the institution's physical growth and development.
Rose is a lifelong Pennsylvanian originally from Uniontown. Outside of work, he enjoys woodworking, designing and building furniture, and tackling DIY projects that let him put his engineering mindset to work. He is also the father of two daughters, one beginning college this fall, with another not far behind.
“Having spent my career helping create environments where students learn and faculty do their best work, it is especially meaningful to be joining Lehigh at the same moment my daughter is beginning her own college journey,” Rose said. “Through my own experience I am reminded that every project we tackle serves real people and influences the trajectory of their lives."
