Remember your reunion
As you think about the months ahead and begin filling up those days on your calendar, remember your reunion at Lehigh. Whether it is your 15th or 65th, we encourage you to return to South Mountain on June 2-4 for our “Main Event” of the year.
And don't come late! On Friday morning at 8 a.m., report to class again by signing up for the Reunion College… or sleep in a bit and roll out of bed in time to play golf or take a tour of the new and improved South Bethlehem. Don't forget Friday night's ReunionFest, a fun-filled evening of friends, food, and music. Future Lehigh graduates (your kids or grandkids) can dance and play at a party of their own at KidsFest, a place for music, crafts and kid cuisine. Visit our Reunion Web site for more information on all of the above.
For alumni from the 0 through 10th reunion classes, we host a special Young Alumni Reunion for you this fall on Oct. 20-21. The main attractions are the Welcome Reception on Friday night, tailgate events before the football game, and Saturday evening's “BASH”—a cocktail reception, dinner, and dance party designed as a New York-style nightclub with live entertainment. Fraternities, sororities, sports teams, and other activity groups host events during Young Alumni Reunion weekend so you can gather with your classmates, teammates, brothers, or sisters!
Are you in the mood to brag about Lehigh for the world to see? Share your memories of life at Lehigh with prospective students. A new Web site, TheU.com, offers high school students, parents, and guidance counselors an opportunity to read alumni reviews and take virtual tours of the nation's top colleges and universities. Be proud! Pass on your love for Lehigh and encourage others to join the Lehigh Family.
In other news, the Lehigh Club of New York, home of the prestigious L-in-Life Award since 1939, is pleased to announce the 60th presentation of the L-in-Life Award on April 25. This year's distinguished recipient is Edwin F. “Ted” Scheetz Jr. '54. The L-in-Life award recognizes alumni for outstanding achievements in business and professional life and for continued devotion and loyal service to the university. The dinner will take place at the Essex House, 160 Central Park South, New York, N.Y. RSVPs are due by April 13. Click here to download a copy of the registration form.
No matter where you are or when you were last on campus, you are always a part of the Lehigh Family. Share your personal adventures and professional accomplishments with your alumni association so we can share it with your classmates! It is my job to brag about how wonderful you all are. Contact your class correspondent or e-mail us your news.
