Mary Beth Deily, associate professor of economics in the College of Business and Economics at Lehigh, was quoted in Time Magazine's article on manufacturing in America. ...Set aside that fear, and behind it lies at least one reason for optimism. If the Lehigh Valley never sees the rise of another Bethlehem Steel, it will also never suffer such a fall. That world is gone, says Deily, who has studied the decline of Big Steel. Today failure of a big manufacture in the region is not going to be as devastating, she says.

George White, professor and program coordinator, educational leadership, was mentioned in an article on team teaching. Sam Varano, principal of Indian Crest Jr. High School, said the next step is to host and work with White “to clarify the mission and set a vision for the future” in team teaching. Team teachers plan and integrate units of instruction in math, reading, social studies and English.

Career Fair Gives Students a Shot at Success

Herb Mishell, who holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Lehigh, was mentioned in an article regarding the biannual New Jersey Collegiate Career Day sponsored by Rutgers University, where he is studying mathematics and working towards his teaching certification. I'm in the midst of changing careers from an industry that isn't in demand to one that is in demand, said Mishell, who is moving from programming and sales support.
