Our new central park

For everyone who has cruised the streets around the Alumni Building searching for a place to park while visiting campus, relief is just around the corner. The new parking garage that is arising next to the Alumni Building will offer a net gain of more than 200 parking spaces when it opens after the end of the spring semester.
Construction started in June on the southern portion of the parking lot that currently serves the Alumni Building. When the new garage opens, the capacity will be 315 cars -- almost triple the number of parking spaces previously available.
The project also includes a new entry plaza on the Brodhead Avenue side of the building.
The new Alumni Building garage greatly helps to solve the parking problems that have been with us for quite some time for both the university community and visitors, says Anthony Corallo, associate vice president for facilities services and campus planning. The arrival court will provide a gracious new 'front door' to Lehigh for visitors and prospective students and their parents as well as serve as a new venue for events.
