Mountain Hawks host Towson on Family Day
After beating Georgetown on the road last weekend, Lehigh returns to Goodman Stadium Saturday to host Towson in the final Patriot League showdown between the two rivals.
The Mountain Hawks are 3-0 in the Patriot League and 5-2 overall. The Tigers, in their final season as a Patriot League football member, are 2-2 in the league and 4-4 overall.
Since Towson joined the league for football in 1997, the Tigers are 1-5 against Lehigh, including an 0-5 mark at Goodman Stadium. Lehigh has won 31 of its last 33 games (93.9%) at Goodman Stadium dating back to 1997, including three of four in 2003.
Last time out, Lehigh rolled to a 45-24 win over Georgetown at Harbin Field in Washington. Junior quarterback Kyle Keating tied a school record with six touchdown passes in the win. Tight end Adam Bergen also matched a Lehigh mark with 14 catches.
Meanwhile, the Tigers are coming off a 24-7 win over I-AA scholarship Elon. The Tigers are a perfect 4-0 at home, but remain winless (0-4) away from Minnegan Field at Johnny Unitas Stadium.
Saturday is Family Day at Goodman Stadium, and one of the biggest crowds of the season is expected to be on hand. Kick-off is set for 12:37, and the game will be broadcast live on Service Electric TV2 Sports and on Oldies 1470 AM.
The television broadcast will re-air on Fox Sports Net Pittsburgh and DirecTV channel 628 on Wednesday, November 5, at 1 pm ET.
