The department of earth and environmental sciences presents a lecture by Bruce Watson, professor of earth and environmental sciences at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
The event begins at noon in STEPS 101.
Friday, March 4: “Public Health Engineering Examples”

The department of industrial and systems engineering presents a lecture by Paul Griffin, the Peter and Angela Dal Pezzo Department Chair of industrial and manufacturing engineering at Penn State University.
Griffin will discuss a model for a simple class of asymptomatic diseases to provide the building blocks for analyzing a more general class of diseases, while providing a computationally efficient method for determining a cost-effective dynamic intervention strategy.
The event begins at 2:30 p.m. in 453 Mohler Lab.
Friday, March 11: “Lehigh Valley Watershed Conference”
The all-day conference features activities across campus beginning at 7:30 a.m. with registration and continuing until 4:15 p.m. The conference offers four course time slots, with three courses to choose from in each slot, as well as two possible full morning or afternoon workshops. The conference is sponsored by the Lehigh County Conservation District, Lehigh University, the Northampton County Conservation District, the Saucon Creek Watershed Association, the Watershed Coalition of the Lehigh Valley, and the Wildlands Conservancy.
