Nelson Tansu Named Fellow of National Academy of Inventors

Nelson Tansu, the Daniel E. ’39 and Patricia M. Smith Endowed Chair Professor and Director of the Center for Photonics and Nanoelectronics, has been named a Fellow of the National Academy of Inventors (NAI).

Tansu is widely regarded as one of the world’s leading researchers and inventors in the field of semiconductor optoelectronics materials and devices, and his works have vastly improved the lighting emitters, lasers for telecommunications, and device technologies for energy efficiency.
