Michael Gould, CFA has been named Chief Investment Officer.
Gould has served as interim CIO since August 2025, and previously served as director in the Investment Office, providing analytical support on sourcing, evaluating and monitoring investment opportunities. Before joining Lehigh in 2018, he was a vice president at Citi Private Bank, where he was responsible for investment manager sourcing and due diligence for the discretionary portfolio business and global distribution platform. Prior to his time at Citi, he worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
“Mike has been a key leader in our Investment Office team since 2018,” said President Joseph J. Helble ’82. “His continued commitment and strategic approach to managing and growing the university’s investment portfolio, his collaborative approach and work to help support the academic mission of Lehigh, and his extensive investment management experience make him ideally suited to serve as Lehigh’s Chief Investment Officer.”
A CFA charterholder, Gould earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation from the CFA Institute, a global nonprofit organization. The CFA designation is widely considered a premier credential in the investment industry. He is a member of the CFA Society of New York and is a certified public accountant in the state of New York.
“As Chief Investment Officer, I look forward to continuing to work closely with the Investment Committee, university leadership, trustees and broader stakeholders to build on our progress, advance our strategic priorities, and further strengthen the university’s long-term resilience in support of its academic mission,” Gould said.
