Fortune has released their annual rankings of online MBA programs and Lehigh ranked among the Top 25 schools on their 2022 Best Online MBA Programs list. Up eight spots from Fortune’s first-ever ranking of online MBA programs in 2021, Lehigh lands at No. 25 in their 2022 rankings.

The flexible pace of our online MBA program continues to pay huge dividends for our working professional students,” said Georgette Chapman Phillips, the Kevin L. and Lisa A. Clayton Dean of the College of Business. “The integrated core curriculum, breadth of concentration offerings, ClassroomLIVE modality, and a faculty truly dedicated to excellence are all key factors in the positive response we continue to see. In fact, it is especially worthy to note that our Business Analytics concentration is growing in popularity, and we are excited about the prospects for our new Public Health concentration.”

In Fortune’s annual ranking of online MBA programs, 108 online MBA programs were surveyed. That information, along with data they collected from companies and executives, make up the core of their ranking. The final ranking is based on three components: Program Score (62.5%), Fortune 1000 Score (17.5%), and Brand Score (20%). The Program Score is calculated from a questionnaire sent to the online MBA programs. A one-year retention rate, graduation rate and student body size are factored into the Program Score as well. The Fortune 1000 Score is based on the number of each school’s MBA alumni who are executives at Fortune 1000 companies. The Brand Score is a business school’s brand strength. Fortune partnered with Ipsos to survey thousands of business professionals and hiring managers to get their thoughts on specific B-schools. Ipsos deployed a survey methodology that determines a school’s brand strength. The final score produced tells them “how much a group of people want to recruit from the university. It is the university’s share of mind.”

The Lehigh FLEX MBA Program is designed for working professionals and can be completed on campus or online. The program is truly flexible when compared to traditional on campus only MBA programs because students can seamlessly attend classes either on campus or online, at any time throughout the program.

Lehigh FLEX MBA courses are offered synchronously through Lehigh’s online ClassroomLIVE technology platform. The integrated, web-based learning environment delivers programs in real time from classrooms on the Lehigh University campus to students in their homes, offices or hotel rooms when traveling. Students interact live with professors and other students during the class as it’s actually taking place on campus. “This virtual immersion experience delivered through our ClassroomLIVE platform continues to result in a WIN-WIN for the busy, working professional,” said Oliver Yao, associate dean for graduate programs and the George N. Beckwith ’32 Professor in the Lehigh College of Business.
