Lehigh Flex MBA Announces Philadelphia Focus

Lehigh’s Flex MBA program will debut its coursework in Philadelphia in spring through the Lehigh MBA Test Drive Program, designed for prospective students who want to experience the Lehigh MBA before applying. Two topics are planned for January through March—“From Plan to Action: Strategy and Organization” and “From Private to Public Company: A Path to Exit.”

Both courses are offered at Lehigh’s Center City location at 1800 JFK Blvd. and are taught by full-time MBA faculty in Lehigh’s College of Business and Economics. An information session is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 29 at 6 p.m. at the Center City location.

“From Plan to Action:  Strategy and Organization” explores business model development in today’s competitive environment as well as the use of disruptive innovation in strategy development. Offered on three consecutive weekends in January (beginning Jan. 4, 2019), it will be taught by Joshua Ehrig, a core curriculum faculty member in the Lehigh MBA Program. He has extensive experience in teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in entrepreneurship, management, innovation and strategy.

Ehrig was a co-founder of various technology companies ranging from mobile to cloud-based applications and serves as an advisor, mentor, panelist and speaker for entrepreneurship and innovation-related initiatives.

“From Private to Public Company: A Path to Exit” centers on taking a company public and the considerations involved. It will be offered Friday and Saturday, March 1 and 2, 2019 and taught by Dale Falcinelli, a longstanding member of the Lehigh MBA faculty and the creator of the VENTURE series – a wide array of graduate-level entrepreneurship courses that make up a popular track in Lehigh’s flagship FLEX MBA Program. He is also the creator of The Consulting Practicum, the centerpiece in Lehigh’s new full-time 1-MBA Program.

Falcinelli won the MBA Excellence in Teaching Award at Lehigh a record nine times. He has sat on numerous boards of both public and privately-held companies and made guest appearances on A&E, PBS and Fox Business.

Both courses are non-degree offerings. Individuals who choose to apply and are accepted into the MBA program may count the credits towards the MBA.
Lehigh’s Flex MBA program is offered online, on campus or in a hybrid format, enabling time-starved students to complete a degree conveniently.  The online Flex MBA is ranked No. 5 in the country by Poets and Quants and No. 19 online and No. 25 part-time MBA program by US News and World Report.
