Lehigh Community Remembers Professor Richard P. Vinci at Memorial Service

Hundreds of Lehigh community members gathered in Packer Memorial Chapel to celebrate the life of Richard P. Vinci, professor of materials science. Vinci died in March at age 52 from ALS.

Vinci was remembered as a teacher who “wholly embodied the role of scholar-mentor.”

Alexandra Hendrickson, chaplain at Lafayette College, led the celebration, which featured moments of remembrance from friends and colleagues Roger LeBeof and Paul Besser, Lehigh emeritus faculty member Richard Hertzberg, professor Wojciech Misiolek, and PhD candidate Allison Fraser ’17 ’19G.
